Geyssa Rodriguez
Ms. Rodriguez was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and grew up in Houston,Texas. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Texas at San Antonio earning a bachelor's degree in International Business in 2006. While at UTSA, she interned with the Department of Defense in Ft. Belvoir Virginia where she obtained a secret security clearance working for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency-Biological Weapons Division.
After undergraduate school, Ms. Rodriguez returned to Houston and earned her
Doctor of Jurisprudence at South Texas College of Law and was admitted to
the Texas Bar in November of 2009. While at South Texas she was on the
Dean's list, participated in moot court, and was a member of the Hispanic
Law Student Association. She also participated in the Consortium for
Innovative Legal Education-where she spent a summer studying abroad in
Malta.
Ms. Rodriguez is now a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association,
Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the
Hispanic National Bar Association. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys
sports, traveling, professional salsa dancing, and theater arts.
