Darla J. Smith

Darla Smith was born in Hobbs, New Mexico but graduated high school in Midland, Texas. She received her B.S in Mathematics from Southwest Texas State University in 1993.  After completing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Houston where she worked in business management.  Darla went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist Dedman School of Law in 2001 and was a member of the Computer Law Review and Technology Journal.  After law school, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona where her practice focused on commercial and employment litigation.  In 2004, she returned to Houston where her practice included commercial and mass tort litigation as well as legal and medical malpractice.  Since joining Mostyn Law Firm, Darla has been involved in first party insurance litigation.

Darla is a member of the Arizona and Texas Bars. She has also been admitted to the United States District Courts for Arizona and the Southern District of Texas.  She is a member of the Houston Bar Association.
