DISCLAIMER & PRIVACY POLICY

No Assurances or Guarantees of Outcome

All cases hinge on their unique facts, and the facts of no two cases are identical. Just like the individuals they affect, catastrophic events are unique and they impact different people in different ways. Even people who seem to have suffered similar losses under similar circumstances may have very different legal outcomes. Accordingly, nothing in the materials on these pages should be construed as a guarantee or assurance of the outcome of your case or any other case. No law firm can promise you a particular outcome, and that includes ours. We can and do however strive to obtain the best possible outcome for each of our clients and we stand ready to do that for you.

Website Materials Do Not Constitute Legal Advice

By its nature, legal advice cannot be properly given in “one size fits all” fashion. Although we hope you find the information contained in these pages helpful, it is not in any way intended to be taken as legal advice. The materials presented on these pages are presented for informational purposes only; if you believe you’ve been wronged, you should have an attorney review your case. Your review of these materials does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and our firm or any of our attorneys.

Our Fees
In the large majority of cases, we work on a contingent fee basis. That means you do not have to pay anything to engage us to handle your case and you will owe no attorneys’ fees, court costs or litigation expenses unless you recover. If you do recover, we will receive a portion of the recovery as our fee and the court costs and litigation expenses we have paid in handling your case will be reimbursed to us from your share of the recovery. Please contact us if you have questions or need additional information regarding our fees.

Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy
Our Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest quality legal services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our clients and partners. The following information is intended to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using this website. We encourage you to read this Policy before using this website. By using this website, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy, please do not use this website.

What Information Do We Collect?
When you visit our website we collect two types of information: (1) personal information which you voluntarily disclose to us on an individual basis and (2) website use information which is automatically collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our site. More about each of these two types of information is provided below:

1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide
You are not required to register or provide personal information in order to access our website, though certain functions of our website (such as submitting a free case evaluation) will require you to provide us certain personal information. We collect personal information from you only when you voluntarily provide it to us: for example, in contacting us through the website, answering surveys and polls, signing up for email updates and announcements concerning our services and contacting us for case evaluation. Personal information may include your contact information (such as your name, postal address, telephone numbers and/or email address) and case-specific information (such as important dates and injury details).

How Do We Use the Personal Information You Choose to Provide?
We primarily use the personal information you provide us to communicate with you and to provide you our services, but we also use it in administering our business activities. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website, new information and special notices we think you will find valuable.

2. Web Site Use Information
Like many other commercial websites, our website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”) and server logs to collect information about how our website is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our website, and the websites visited just before and just after ours. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.

What Are Cookies?
Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a web site. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from web page to web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.

How Do We Use Information We Collect from Cookies and Server Logs?
The information in the cookies lets us trace the paths followed by users to our web site as they move from one page to another. Server logs allow us to count how many people visit our web site and evaluate our web site’s visitor capacity. We use this information to help us design and arrange our pages in the most user-friendly manner and to compile important business and technical statistics. We do not use these technologies to capture your individual email address or any personal identifying information about you.

How Do We Protect Your Information?
Information Security. We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction.

Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our organizational values, ethical standards, policies and practices are all intended to facilitate the protection of client information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.

How Can You Access and Correct Your Information?
You may email information@mostynlaw.com to request access to all the personal information you have submitted to us.

Do We Disclose Information to Unrelated Parties?
No. We use the information we maintain about our clients for our purposes only.

What About Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information?
We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

What About Other Web Sites Linked to Our Web Site?
We are not responsible for the practices of websites linked to or from our website or any of the information they contain. When we provide links to other websites we do so solely for the convenience of our users.
